“I started attending KCA due to getting into trouble while under the influence of alcohol. This started after I had to leave the army due to knee injuries. I started to get depressed and felt really low. My confidence had gone and I didn’t feel like doing anything with my life, all I did was get drunk every weekend.
While I was at KCA I heard about the AIR Sports Network Breakfast Club, it was perfect for me, I was able to get a great fitness session every week, get support and get a healthy breakfast after as well. It also helped me sustain the gym.
AIR Sports is really good because it’s free, fun and motivational. It has helped me get my fitness back up to a good level, it keeps me busy doing something productive with my spare time and I'm always around positive people. I feel comfortable being around the coaches, I can share things with them and get things off my chest. I have really dedicated myself to AIR Sports and using the fitness programme they planned for me I can work out during the week till the next session. I was also really pleased to win 2 competitions during the AIR Sports Thurrock sports day.
AIR Sports has helped me keep motivated, helped me gain my confidence back and it gave me something to look forward to every week. After a while I got a job at JD SPORTS, this gave me confidence and I've since got my fork lift license and started a sports science course at Southend College. My long term goal is to stay in the field of fitness and become a personal trainer. AIR Sports have been brilliant for me and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to change their life for the better and looking to get fitter and healthier. It’s just a brilliant environment to be around.”
