“Before I came to AIR Sports Network I was in a bad place, I was re-offending all the time, was in and out of prison, didn't care about myself or the community and had less than no care for the system. I was also smoking a lot of cannabis, had no motivation to do anything and was just wasting my life doing nothing. My heath and my fitness was rubbish and my diet was really poor, I just wasn't taking care of myself.
I was in prison when I first got to know the staff at AIR Sports Network. I was feeling lazy, lacked any encouragement to do anything and had a really negative view of life. I got to a stage where I knew I had to do something about it. That’s when I met AIR Sports Network.
The program helped me to turn my life around quite quickly, I gained new confidence and found a new sense of motivation, the staff encouraged me and believed in me and I really made progress.
I used the support to get healthy, develop a positive state of mind and think hard about what I wanted out of life.
AIR Sports Network used fitness and the gym to develop my fitness and a new positive attitude, it developed my motivation, enthusiasm and gave me the confidence to keep me working towards being the best I can be. Since joining the programme I've got a job, developed new skills, changed my attitude and got involved as a trainee coach and mentor. My aim is to complete my training and work towards becoming a full time AIR Sports Network coach/mentor. I would never have thought myself capable of this and I'm grateful to the staff for supporting me to do it and to recognise myself as a winner.
I would recommend AIR Sports Network to anyone, it’s the best thing I've done and it changed my life, if you want a change a change and are willing to work, then AIR Sports Network is for you…”
