AIR Sports, London and the South East’s premier football and fitness provider has launched in the London Borough of Croydon.
AIR Sports works with the hardest to reach individuals in society who are affected by substance and alcohol misuse, offending and long term unemployment.
AIR Sports’ highly successful fitness, football and personal development programme provides crucial transferable and employability skills, mentoring, qualifications and one to one to support to the most vulnerable, at risk and excluded members of society.
80% of individuals who engage with AIR Sports achieve a positive outcome as well as life changing social and life skills.
Colm Whitty, AIR Sports Director commented: “We are delighted to continue again in partnership with Turning Point, one of the UK’S Leading providers of specialist community services.This programme will allow us to deliver at the heart of the Croydon community and help those in real need to transform their lives.”
This is a major 5 year project which aims to identify and engage hard to reach treatment naive individuals aged 18-30 in a programme of group and one to one support. Services on offer include sport sessions, football coaching, boxercise and multi-level fitness and wellbeing sessions, individuals will also have access to AIR’s innovative education and mentoring programmes as well as its highly successful one to one wrap around support service.
