AIR Sports is delighted to announce the development of an innovative new addition to its Lambeth IOM programme. Following on from the successful delivery of its current programme, AIR Sports have been commissioned by the London Community Rehabilitation Company to deliver a unique “through the prison gate” offending reduction programme.
Colm Whitty AIR Sports Director commented “We are delighted with the success of the Lambeth IOM programme and welcome the continued support of the London CRC, this new funding will allow AIR to now work pre release with individuals, deliver a meet at the prison gate programme and expand our evening mentoring and training programmes.”
“The aim of our IOM programmes is to explore cost effective and innovative ways to help reduce the millions of pounds it costs the country each year in re-offending. We believe that working directly with individuals on a one to targeted basis, involving them in making their own employment, training and skills development decisions is a highly effective way to do this.
“The track record of organisations like AIR shows that high impact work needn't be costly or expensive and that societal issues urgently need this type of local innovation to help make a real difference, the days of big, one size fits all delivery are over. As an organisation we are committed to offering individuals and funders alike a fantastic return on their investment.”
